Our verdict

Book Ozadi Altura for a full four-star family beach resort - Verdelago if you want five-star apartment beachfront, Monte da Lagoa if you want quieter kitchens.

If you knew this place as Eurotel Altura, you’re in the right spot – Ozadi Altura Beach Resort is the 2026 rebrand of the same building on Avenida 24 de Junho, refreshed into a four-star family beach resort. Rooms and suites open onto balconies with sea, garden, or pool views, and the gardens lead straight toward Praia da Alagoa and Altura beach, where loungers are laid out and the UCA beach restaurant does lunch.

Facilities cover the classic resort week: outdoor and hydrotherapy pools, Thalgo wellness, kids club, tennis, several restaurants and bars, and an outdoor activity programme. This is the opposite of a silent boutique – come expecting lively August energy, mostly Portuguese families.

Who it suits

Families who want beach, kids club, and spa under one keycard on the Altura strip.

Skip it if you want a silent design farmhouse instead – try Pensão Agrícola toward Tavira – or five-star townhouses at Verdelago.

Worth it?

Yes, for a facility-rich four-star week on Altura’s beach. And compare the rest of the strip in where to stay in Castro Marim.
