Some guides still file this one under Vilamoura. It isn’t. AP Adriana Beach Resort (older guides call it Adriana Beach Club Hotel Resort) sits on Estrada da Rocha Baixinha near Olhos de Água, and the whole point of the address is what’s outside the garden gate: Praia da Falésia, the long run of red cliffs and pale sand that photographs better than almost anywhere on this coast.
It’s a big AP Hotels all-inclusive estate, about 17 hectares of gardens, pools, and hundreds of rooms, so don’t expect boutique hush. You know the rhythm if you’ve done a package resort before: breakfast buffet, sunbed by 10am, kids peeled off to the club, everyone back together for the evening show.
That rhythm is the appeal, not a compromise. There’s an adult pool and a children’s pool, a splash park for the smaller ones, and Happy Kids Club running proper sessions rather than a token playroom. Tennis, football, beach volleyball, and mini golf keep teenagers busy without a car. Sunbeds and parasols are set up on the beach for guests, which matters on Falésia in August when independent travellers are still hunting for space.
Want a night off the buffet? Paid shuttles run toward Albufeira and Vilamoura, and a taxi covers the same ground in ten to fifteen minutes if you’d rather not wait for a schedule.
Who this suits
Families who want the beach and the pools sorted without booking every meal separately. Groups mixing a Zoomarine or Aquashow day with a Falésia base for the rest of the week.
Skip it if resort entertainment sets your teeth on edge, or if you want to walk to old-town Albufeira bars at night. A villa with its own kitchen suits self-caterers better than this all-inclusive setup.
