This is a countryside afternoon, not a coastal one: bring a car, because there’s no walking here from Loulé, Quarteira, or the marina.
Guided tours run in English and Portuguese and cover the vines, the cellar, and a tasting at the end. Go for a couples’ afternoon, a group that actually wants to learn something about Algarve wine, or a break from another beach day. Skip it if you’re short on time and don’t have a car – there’s no shortcut in from the coast.
Hours and the summer pool rule
The estate runs 10:00-19:00 daily, with closures around Christmas and into early January (there’s usually a short reopening window between the two holidays – check the site for exact dates). Tour times move with the season: English tours typically run at 11:00 plus afternoon slots, and Portuguese tours run weekends and holidays at set times listed on the site.
In pool season there’s a €15 minimum spend per person from age 4, put toward wine, tastings, sangria, juice, or tapas. It’s there to keep the terrace for people actually using it, not a free sunbed park. Book tastings and lounge tables ahead in July and August.
