Parque Aventura Albufeira is a tree-climbing and paintball park on Estrada de Santa Eulália 215, 8200-381 Albufeira – about 2 minutes from Praia de Santa Eulália. Walkable, or a very short drive from the beach or town centre. Email: Book online at parqueaventura.net.
Arborismo: three levels by age and height
The tree-climbing courses, or arborismo, split into three levels so younger kids and braver teens both get a course that fits.
Curioso is for children from 4 years old and 1.00m, with 2 shorter routes, at 13 euros per person. Aventureiro steps up to 3 routes with proper zip lines, for climbers from 1.30m, at 16 euros. Destemido is the full 5-route course for ages 12 and up with a minimum height of 1.40m, at 20 euros.
A safety briefing comes before every session, and anyone under 18 needs a responsible adult with them in the park throughout.
Paintball and the combo deal
The paintball field runs through woodland with obstacles built in – fine for first-timers and people who’ve played before. Packs run Trooper (150 paintballs) at 20 euros, Commando (250 paintballs) at 24 euros, and Elite (400 paintballs) at 28 euros, all with full equipment included. Want both? The arborismo-and-paintball combo is 30 euros per person – an easy way to fill most of a day without paying twice.
Picnic tables and a practical day out
Shaded picnic tables sit around the park, so you can bring lunch, blow out birthday candles, or sit between activities instead of driving off to eat. Easy pairing with a Santa Eulália beach morning: swim first, then walk over for the afternoon.
Hours – check before you go
Parque Aventura Albufeira is open year-round, but the hours change often through the seasons. In peak summer, from 1 July to 15 September, it runs daily from 10:00 to 18:00 – the pattern used in the hours above.
Outside that window the park typically opens shorter weekday afternoons and slightly longer weekend hours, and in the depths of winter it may run weekends only. Always check the park’s own calendar on parqueaventura.net for your exact travel dates before you build a day around it, especially outside July and August.
Who should go
Families with children from age 4 up, teens who want real zip lines instead of a toddler course, and groups of friends or colleagues after paintball near the beach rather than out in the countryside. Book ahead, particularly for paintball and larger groups, since sessions and staffing are limited.
Skip it, or at least call first, if every child in your group is under the 1.00m minimum for Curioso – there’s no course they can do yet. And don’t try to squeeze this into a spare hour: allow at least half a day once you count the safety briefing and the walk between courses.
Worth it?
Yes, as the easy active add-on to a Santa Eulália beach day – once you’ve checked the seasonal hours for your dates. Pair it with a morning at Praia da Santa Eulália, see top things to do in Albufeira for more active days nearby, and check where to stay in Albufeira if you’re still picking a base for the week.
