Everyone feels a bit wobbly standing on a surfboard for the first time. AMAR Surfing Academia has been coaching that exact moment on Praia de Faro since 2009, from a base at Av. Nascente 130, about 15 minutes from Faro Airport along the island beach road. Group lessons run up to seven people, or you can book private, semi-private, or a family pack for kids from around age 6.
