Pizzeria Casavostra

Loulé

Open now - closes 23:00

Pizzeria Casavostra is Almancil's long-running Italian on Avenida 5 de Outubro - thin-crust wood-fired pizza since 2003, pasta and oven mains, plus takeaway, delivery, and the Casavostra Home shop under one roof.

Our verdict

Casavostra is the Almancil pizza night when Quinta or Vale do Lobo guests want a proper Italian table without the marina drive. Use the site button above for a table in August, or take away to the villa if the dining room is full.

Website / reservations

You’re in a Quinta or Vale villa week. Someone wants pizza. Not strip tourist pizza – the thin, wood-fired kind you can eat with kids and still feel like a grown-up. That number on Avenida 5 de Outubro is Casavostra, and Almancil has been saving it since 2003.

right on the village strip between the two resorts. Pasta and oven mains are solid when the table splits. The dough is still why you came.or Open every day, 12:00-23:00 – lunch through late dinner, no mid-afternoon shutdown.

What you’re actually ordering

Good Italian produce, not a gimmick menu. DOP cheeses and charcuterie, tomatoes and herbs from their own garden when the card says so, and a thin crust finished in the wood oven.

Start with the classics if you want a safe night – Margherita, Diavola, 4 Formaggi – then look for house plates like the Nuova Casavostra (roast cherry tomato, buffalo mozzarella, Parmesan, arugula). Tartufo or Parma Pesto when someone wants richer.

Split tables work here. Pasta runs from carbonara and bolognese to paccheri al pesto or prawn ravioli; cannelloni with garden spinach and ricotta if you want something baked. Chicken al limone or a fillet tagliata covers the “not pizza” seat. Kids get smaller pasta plates. Gluten-free pizza and pasta are on the menu (ask about cross-contamination), and vegan cheese is an add-on.

Starters stay Italian: burratina with Parma ham, Caprese, or clams baked under pizza dough. Tiramisu or pannacotta for dessert – or a half pizzetta nocciola if the table still has room. Check the current menu on the site before a special-diet night.

Restaurant, takeaway, delivery, and the shop

Four modes, one roof. Eat in. Order takeaway for lower direct prices and loyalty discounts, with the kitchen right there if something’s wrong. Use Uber Eats delivery when the villa wins – fees apply, complaints go through Uber, and on peak nights delivery is the first thing they may pause. Takeaway is the safer backup.

Next door in the same building, Casavostra Home sells furniture and lifestyle pieces. That’s why the room feels more design showroom than generic strip pizzeria.

Peak weeks

This is a meeting-point room with Quinta and Vale villa groups, not a quiet walk-in tasca. In high season the phone lines drag – don’t ring at 19:00 on a Saturday in August if you can use the site button instead. Parking on Avenida 5 de Outubro is limited – give yourself a few minutes, or plan takeaway if the street is jammed.

Who it suits

Families who need thin-crust pizza that keeps kids and adults at the same table. Couples and villa groups who want an Italian night without the Vilamoura marina drive. Anyone fine with a buzzy, design-led room.

Skip it if you want a silent Portuguese tasca, or if you’re only chasing beach-club seafood. This is Almancil Italian, not cliff dining.

Worth it?

Yes – the Almancil pizza night that has stuck since 2003: open daily, thin crust, and a practical takeaway line when the pool wins. Sort a table early in August, or take the boxes home.
