Where Marina de Vilamoura‘s promenade runs out and the Atlantic takes over, you’ll find Farol de Vilamoura (also called Farolim de Vilamoura). There’s no ticket office and no climbing inside – you walk the jetty and the rocky edge for views of boats, coastline, and whatever colour the sunset is doing that evening. It’s a short stroll from the main marina basin, easy to fit in before or after lunch.
Wear shoes you can trust. The stones shift and small gaps open up when the sea is rough, and that’s not a place for bare feet or wobbly sandals. On windy days, skip the very tip of the jetty with small children. There’s no show beyond the light and the view, and that’s exactly why it works: twenty quiet minutes between two marina restaurants.
Good for you if you’re already on the marina loop and want one more photo stop. Not for you if mobility is a concern, or you’ve only got time for one evening activity and would rather spend it on dinner or Casino Vilamoura.
