Attraction review

Forum Algarve

Faro

Forum Algarve review — 117 shops, Auchan hypermarket, NOS cinema, and Mediterranean plaza five minutes west of Faro Airport on the N125.

Our verdict

Forum Algarve is the smartest mall stop for FAO arrivals and Faro city weeks — one covered loop, supermarket run, and VOSE cinema without crossing the region.

Visit Forum Algarve

Forum Algarve on N125 km 103 at the west entrance to Faro (8009-020 Faro) is the capital’s main centro comercial~117 shops, 21 restaurants, Auchan hypermarket, NOS five-screen cinema, pharmacy, dental clinic, and an outdoor plaza with children’s play area. Architecture echoes Algarve tradition: two interior levels plus open-air square, natural light, and flight-information desks useful for airport passengers.

Who it suits

Yes for Faro Airport layovers, east-coast rainy afternoons, and villa stock-ups before driving to Tavira or Olhão. ~5 minutes from FAO in light traffic. Faro old town shoppers still come here for Zara, Fnac, JD Sports, Lacoste, Nespresso, and big-box groceries — not for artisan lanes. Less ideal as a west-coast day trip from Lagos.

Practical tips

Free parking; pet-friendly zone with water stations. Check NOS listings for VOSE original-language films. Hours typically 10:00–22:00 shops, longer for Auchan — verify at forumalgarve.net. Pair with Ludo trails on a clear morning and mall on rain. Guides: Faro Airport, shopping in the Algarve.

Worth it?

Yes — the east Algarve’s most convenient full mall. Next: MAR Shopping if you also want Primark and Designer Outlet in one day (allow driving time).
